This scenario looks at compositing the ground plane, ground to tower connection + high rise slabs and surface.

Populating the Tower
Curves are extracted from the hair system and imported into Generative Components.
Floor slabs are generated creating the useable areas of the tower. All areas can be exported to Excel for volume calculation.
Site Variations
Allowing the system to adapt to its shaping environment produces a wide range of results that respond to the local context. The image below shows variations of tower form and ground response for a particular site response. The redesign of the site has been influenced by the previous particle systems that show the pressures and flow of the site as a response to the main transport nodes.
In this one particular scenario, there are so many parameters that can be controlled producing an amazing amount of variations. The next stage would involve applying criteria to evaluate the variations. Some ideas... ground to tower connection, volumetric space, building proportion, structural stability, orientation, number of void spaces.
Structural Form
Applying the height parameters of our site, we start to produce interesting spatial conditions that begin to redefine the functions and logic of typical high-rise design.
System Variations
Working with the following parameters; the number of connections, amount of attraction and height of strand, we could start to produce self-organising structures that show potential for architectural design.
Self-Organising Systems
We began exploring hair systems in Maya.
The interesting aspect of this dynamic tool is the ability for hair to attract and repel - and the ability for the hair to self organise.
